Q: Do I have to have
internet to benefit from this service?
A: No. If
you are not internet capable, we can gather orders from the web site for
you and forward them via fax or delivery (delivery charges may apply).
With a short interview of your business, we can get your business online
at no extra charge. Q: Do I have to have my
own website to be on The MarketCenter?
A: No.
The MarketCenter was designed for businesses and organizations that currently
have no website, or for websites that desire to have added exposure. We
will assist new clients in building your 5-page website with content and photos, which will give you an immediate,
powerful on-line presence.
Q: Do I have to have
high-speed internet to have a The MarketCenter account?
A: It is not
necessary, but recommended. With the additional speed, it will allow for
a faster upload environment, and make administering your website easier,
as the on-line tools are all browser-based.
Q: Will I need to know HTML
to manage my web site on The MarketCenter?
A: No. The
browser-based administration is all wizard driven. Someone with little
to no experience will be able to manage your account.
Q: How do I add my company to 2 different categories? And…can I change
categories?
A:
When setting up your company initially, you will be allowed a primary
and secondary category to list your business. If you need to change
these categories later, you will be able to log in to your
administrative section and change this at a later time.
Q: Can I add more than 14 pictures to my website at The
MarketCenter?
A: You
are allowed to add 10 pictures to the photo gallery of your personal web. You can also add 4 pictures to go with the
pages of your web site and upload your logo as well.
Q: You mention that you offer custom services? How much are they, and
who do I contact to arrange for a quote and to initiate the request for
these additional services?
A: Our
additional services include, digital photography, site set up, content
writing, and graphic design. Our hourly rate is $55 per hour.
Q: Can you please give me the exact image download sizes for the
different picture frames in The MarketCenter. I know the tall pictures on the
left-side of the website have a different requirement than the
gallery-page images.
A:
Photos should be no wider or taller than 250 pixels.
Q: What digital photography software will I need to re-size and upload
my images easily to The MarketCenter? What do you recommend?
A:
There are several photo and art editing software packages available. It
is best to decide based on skill level and budget. We recommend Adobe
Photoshop, or Macromedia Fireworks.
Q: How are you going to advertise The MarketCenter, and will you provide me a
way to measure the clicks to my website, from The
MarketCenter? Will I be
provided copies of Ads that ran, and some information about your
marketing and advertising activities?
A:
The MarketCenter will aggressively advertise on search engines as well as
other local printed media. Number of visitors to the The
MarketCenter site
will be visible, but not to individual Vendor Pages.
Q: Do you offer me the ability to set-up my own e-commerce on the
The MarketCenter website?
A:
E-commerce solutions are not available on The
MarketCenter. We can consult
with one of our design companies to help you establish an e-commerce
presence.
